Member proposals invited for BASES Conference 2019 programme
6th February 2019
As part of plans to expand the breadth of content at BASES Conference 2019 (19-20 November) and enable greater input from the membership, we are inviting BASES professional and overseas members to submit proposals for invited parallel sessions. This year, up to 3 parallel invited sessions in the BASES Conference 2019 programme will be from proposals submitted by members. Parallel invited sessions will be either invited lectures (1 presenter) or invited symposia (2 presenters).
All submissions will be considered by the BASES Scientific Conference Programme Committee, who will select the successful proposals on the basis of topicality and interest to members. The lead presenter must be a professional member of BASES and must be available to present at the BASES Conference on either 19 or 20 November 2019.
BASES will cover the delegate fees for the BASES Conference (2 day non-residential package) and the Conference Gala Dinner for up to 2 presenters (per session).
BASES welcomes proposals across all sport and exercise disciplines, however, proposals are particularly welcomed that involve research and/or applied practice of an inter-disciplinary and/or collaborative nature. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver your research and share insight with a wide audience of peers at BASES flagship CPD event.
To submit your proposal please complete the proposal form and email to officemanager@bases.org.uk. The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday 1 March.
Please note: BASES will be inviting abstract submissions for free communication presentations and poster presentations for BASES Conference 2019 as normal from April 1.
Deadline dates for abstract submissions are as follows:
Friday 17 May: Free communications
Friday 14 June: Poster presentations and 5 slides in 5 minutes free communications
