Call for Research Project Proposals - Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Award for Sports Research

7th October 2020

AISTS, the International Academy of Sport Science and Technology, are promoting a new sports research award which is now open until 15 February 2021.

The Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Award for Sports Research has been launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport. The Ministry of Sport’s Leaders Development Institute (LDI) established the Award to fund promising research projects. The Award is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in sports. A total of $1,000,000 USD will be awarded.

The Award seeks to financially support scholarly work by PhD qualified researchers to develop new foundational knowledge, or build upon existing knowledge, that may have a lasting impact on the sports discourse in the context of Saudi Arabia. The entries must be exclusive to the Award and be related to one of the following three topics; Youth and Grassroots, Coaching and Education and Public Health in Sport, within the context of Saudi Arabia.
