BASES Conference abstract submission deadline extended to 21 June

Following a number of requests, BASES has decided to extend the final abstract submission deadline for BASES Conference 2019: authors now have until 9:00am on Friday 21 June to submit abstracts.

All submitted abstracts will be considered for free communications presentations, poster presentations and 5 slides in 5 minutes free communications. All accepted abstracts will be published in an online supplement of the Journal of Sports Sciences.

About BASES Conference

BASES Conference 2019 is taking place at the King Power Stadium, Leicester on 19-20 November.

BASES Conference offers a great opportunity for academics and practitioners to present research or applied practice, with presentation formats to suit all levels of experience.

Conference Programme

The speaker line-up is now confirmed, with 35 invited speakers and 18 plenary sessions covering a range of sport and exercise science topics offering something for everyone.

Pre-Conference Division Events

BASES Divisions will be running pre-conference events for BASES members on Monday 18 November, providing another reason to attend this year's BASES Conference:

  • BASES Physical Activity for Health Division will be running a workshop on accelerometry for measuring physical behaviours at the University of Leicester
  • BASES Sport & Performance Division and Physiology & Nutrition Division are planning a joint Division Day at King Power Stadium in Leicester, with keynotes, workshops and breakout discussions.
