About

Ulster has been the major provider of taught courses and Research Degrees in Sport in Northern Ireland since the 1970's. We currently offer two full-time undergraduate degrees; BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences and a BSc (Hons) in Sports Studies. Both these programmes equip students for careers in Physical Education, Sport Science, Sports Development, Sport and Leisure Management or postgraduate study (PGCE, MSc PhD). In addition, since 2005, we offer a part-time Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching for active coaches wishing to further their knowledge and gain an academic qualification. Other taught courses include our BSc (Hons) in Sports Technology (with the Faculty of Engineering), MSc Physical Activity and Population Health and MSc Sport Management (with the Ulster Business School). We also have postgraduate research opportunities [PhD / MPhil] - many of which are funded, through our Sport and Exercise Sciences Research Institute.
